What is your role at Pathway Legal?

I am an associate lawyer, and my role is to ensure that my clients feel nurtured and at home while going through their legal journey with me.

What should clients look for in a lawyer or law firm?

Every lawyer knows the law, but a client, especially in a family matter, needs a lawyer who is empathetic, does not treat their case as just another legal matter—someone who is both compassionate and ready to drop the hammer when needed.

What attracted you to Pathway Legal?

• Coming into law school, I knew I wanted to practice family law, but it had to be in a firm that shared the same values that I stood for – compassion, empathy, ambition and aggression.
• Understanding Val’s vision and witnessing a perfect blend of these values at the firm ensured me that Pathway is an ideal fit for me.

What are your interests in addition to law?

Any time that I have outside of work, I love spending it with my family, which includes my wonderful husband, my chirpy toddler and my charming teenager.
I love being outdoors - hiking, going to the beaches, but I will not complain if I have to binge all day on Netflix on my couch.

What is your favourite kind of animal? 

Although I fear dogs, it is my favourite kind of animal. I brought a Labrador puppy, whom I called Angel, to my house when I was in college. Her absence has left a hole in my heart that will never fill, but I am thankful to her for allowing me to witness the purest form of love that exists.
