The California Consumer Privacy Act
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), enacted in 2018, creates new consumer rights relating to the access to, deletion of, and sharing of personal information that is collected by businesses. You can find a fuller explanation here about the law and how it may affect you.
I am told that I have to mention the California Consumer Privacy Act and adhere to it. So, in the interest of being able to help you with the information on this site, I am complying.

In order to undertake a year to year comparison on any data collected by Google Analytics, I have set my Data Retention settings at Google Analytics to 50 months, after which Google will automatically delete the data.

- PathwayLegal.ca may also use Facebook commenting. Facebook stores all of your comments and may show them on your timeline, depending on your Facebook settings.
You can always refuse to supply personally identifiable information and visit our site anonymously. However, it may prevent you from engaging in certain site-related activities.
If we make material changes in the collection of personally identifiable information, we will inform you by placing a notice on our site. We will use personal information received from you for internal purposes only and will not sell it or provide it to third parties.
We also collect each visitor's IP address, which helps us combat spam and fraud. We do not use IP addresses for any other purpose.

Release of Information
If I sell PathwayLegal.ca, the information we have obtained from you through your voluntary participation in our site may transfer to the new owner as a part of the sale so that the service provided to you may continue.

Data Storage as it relates to video viewing
This website uses Wistia (https://wistia.com) to power its videos.
Wistia tracks non personally identifiable information when you view a video. This includes how you interact with the videos on this site: how much of a video you watch, at what points in a video you pause or rewind, etc.
Identifiable information may be collected if we pause the video and request that you provide your email address or name.
You are under no obligation to provide this information, but we reserve the right to limit certain videos to identified users. Wistia aggregates the data collected through the videos here, including names and email addresses, and provides it to us. Wistia does not sell or provide the data it collects to third parties.
